TERRALYT PLUS®-PRELIMINARY TEST RESULTS FOR SUGAR BEETS IN GERMANY

The following is a test results summary of a field test on SUGAR BEETS
conducted in the city of MORSUM near THEDINGHAUSEN


Test Areas: 1 Hectare of land planted with Sugar Beets Type Aurika.
A strip of land 15 m wide surrounding the test area was not treated with TERRALYT PLUS®. Also, a control area of 1 Hectare next to the tested area was not treated with TERRALYT PLUS®.

Test Procedures:
1. The test field was treated with 500 g / 500 L TERRALYT PLUS® prior to seeding on 17. March 1997
2.The test field was seeded on 01. April 1997
3. The test field was treated again on 19. April 1997 with 500 g / 500 L TERRALYT PLUS® as seeds began to sprout.
4. The treated and untreated field was given Ölrettich (Radish shaving) to aerate the soil and was fertilizid with 2x50 kg Nitrogen per Hectare.
5. Evaluation was conducted on 20 July 1997.

The evaluation showed the following:
1. The leaves of the treated sugar beets were considerably larger in size an had a darker green color.
2. The treated sugar beets showed more secondary rooting.
3. Two treated sugar beets (A,B) and two untreated sugar beets (C,D) were pulled at random from the treated area and the control area.
